Commemorating the part played by ordinary Midlothian folk in WW1

As you are probably all aware by now 2014 marks the Centenary of the Great War 1914-18 I would like Midlothian people to send me electronic copies of their personal WW1 photos to feature in a Centenary Gallery on this website.

 

If you don't have the capability to send an electronic copy don't worry, if you wish you can contact me and I will scan the original for you.

 

So what type of photos am I looking for?

 

Well anything that is both Midlothian and WW1 related, it does not have to be a man in uniform, it can feature some feature of civilian life like farming or coal mining for example.
