About Me

I was born in 1946 the Son and Grandson of  Haddington men, my Grandfather Henry was in the 8th Battalion Royal Scots from the commencement of hostilities in 1914 until he marched through the town from Haddington  railway station in 1919 at the end. My father was in the Royal Artillery 1939 - 45 then the 8th Battallion Royal Scots (Territorials) until 1961. For me... after after a good chilhood in Haddington I joined the Royal Navy on June 19th 1962 as a Junior Electrical Mechanic and left on the 10th November 1996 as a Warrant Officer 1st Class, a career spanning almost 34 and a half years.
